Job Requisition #009: Sr. Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
The applicant will be participating in the conceptual design and development of 3DOF and high-fidelity 6DOF space and missile simulations. The applicant must also be able to work in a highly dynamic and flexible environment. The ability to work as part of a growing small team is critical. The applicant must also be able to work on translating known simulation environments to novel new platforms with a focus on ‘user’ interaction with simulation results. The applicant will also support other duties as assigned.
Required skills
Experience leading and working a small to medium sized development team.
Education/Experience
* BS, MS in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
Job Requisition #008: Systems / Simulation Engineer
Responsibilities
The applicant will be participating in the design and development of a high-fidelity 6DOF missile simulation. The simulation will be constructed from several existing building blocks, and the majority of the models will need to be newly developed. All models will conform with the MDA OASIS specification and coded to be compatible with the Simitar C++ simulation environment. All higher logic functions will be modeled in Simulink and plugged into the Simitar environment. The applicant must also be able to work in a highly dynamic and flexible environment. The ability to work as part of a growing small team is critical. The applicant must also be able to work on translating known simulation environments to novel new platforms with a focus on ‘user’ interaction with simulation results. The applicant will also support the ZPFC Information Systems Director with other duties as assigned.
Required skills
Strong command of the C++ language and OO programing techniques
Familiarity with the MDA OASIS/Simitar simulation framework
Experience leading a small to medium sized development team
Education/Experience:
* BS, MS in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
* 6+ years of large systems software design and development experience with a focus on simulation
Job Requisition #006: Starship Zero Analyst (Part-Time Intern)
Successful candidate will perform basic in-space analysis on Starship Zero. Analysis will be based on Design Reference Missions and Open Source Data of known advanced propulsion parameters. Concepts for masses and orbital parameters and trip times will be analyzed for sensitivities and driving mission design features. The successful candidate needs to have a strong work ethic, a passion for Space Exploration, and experience with conceptual performance analysis techniques and methods. This position will require an ability to work independently and an ability to work in a small-team work environment. This position could translate to full-time employment performing Systems Analysis for Space Architectures and Exploration Launch Vehicles.
